Feelings are Real: Little Orange Fish provides education and training programs free to North Alabama Communities. These training programs include Kognito and, in partnership with Wellstone Behavioral Health, Mental Health First Aid.

Expressions is a place where our community can connect and share experiences through the Arts, showcasing the importance of creative expression for understanding and managing emotional and mental health.

Here for You: Little Orange Fish is developing and building a web- based resource that uses an advanced technology assisted search and recommendation engine. It will set the standard in social services advocacy for assisting individuals to get the help they need to ensure their safety, security, and optimal wellbeing.

The Inner Defense Initiative is a community collaborative research and development effort for understanding and building on the connection between an individual’s immune system and their resilience to psychological trauma.

Little Orange Fish was founded to support the premise that every individual can benefit from and deserves access to quality mental health care.

The vision is that through research and education, better quality mental health care with a greater continuity of care can be made accessible to all. Realizing this vision will do much more than save lives by reducing acts of violence and self-harm. It will also greatly enhance the quality of life for the tens of millions in the US, and the hundreds of millions worldwide, who suffer in silence from a variety of emotional and mental health issues.

‘A strong community is built of healthy individuals
and good health starts with a healthy mind.’
